Realizations

Here are some realizations I have made this past month:

1. There is only 8 more days until Thanksgiving and then I will only have like 3 weeks until the end of the Semester.

2. Communication is the number one thing that makes me happy.

3. I really am in the right major and I could do this my whole life. Also BYUI is really the best program to be in and I will most definitely be able to find a job for my internship and when I graduate.

4. I still don't know what I am going to be doing this summer which kind of bothers me.

5. I will only have five days after Thanksgiving Break to finish my project.

Now that i just realized that i am going to go map out my weekend. lol

Everyday is a Lesson of Life

Sometimes I forget how young I am when I think about all my life experiences and what lessons I have learned from them. I look back to my first year of college and kind of chuckle about how I thought I was so ready for relationships and dating. Now after having the past two very potential relationship end in life changing experience ways, I truly say that I have grown and learn how to deal with life's lessons. I can also say i am truly excited to see what else life has in story and what decisions i will get to make. I appreciate all my ex potentials and friends and everything they done for me. Also I am glad that all them I still am in contact with and can still call them friends.

Love my life and it loves me :)

stress is just another way of saying your living a life that you care deeply about

At work once again. The only place that I have that I can relax enough to wrap my head everything that I need to do with my life. I think I have made the mast majority of my commitments, life plans, goals and pacts sitting in this chair. My hands and tips of my toes are frozen because it is soooo cold outside. In about a little for an hour I have my International Relations midterm. It is going to be very interesting because it really a bunch of writing paragraphs on questions about how a event shows the a couple of the human nature views and my own opinion. I really hope I can do well with it.

After this next week Interior Design is going to slow down considerably. I will be getting my final for Brother Parson and Sister Harris. Brother Julander will just be giving us simple weekly assignments and I will just have one more report for Materials and Sources. Then in International Relations we will be starting the Stimulation Game which should not be to hard at all. I just keep saying this in my mind, "One more week, one more week" and I know I will be able to make it.

Some other fantastic, fahbuless things happen this week but I will keep in on hold until a later date :).

Such is the life of an Interior Design Student

This past weekend I received an awesome opportunity to attend an all day Interior Design Conference in Sun Valley, Idaho. It is was a very long day but I was able to meet professionals and visit other students from the Intermoutain ASID chapters. It was fun to see what the other school are teaching their students and what their projects are looking like. We had a mini competition with the Junior and Senior Projects. Our school came out on top with one person winning third and the other first.

On Monday, a representative of the Stark Carpets, the people who design and make the carpets for the church buildings, schools and temples, came and taught us about their products. It was very interesting to hear about innovative technique of making rugs and carpets and their new technology in painted murals that you can stick on the wall like wallpaper and then modify it to your hearts desire.

I am so tired and I will not be able to get an rest until Thursday when all my projects are turned in and I don't have to worry about them until Wednesday of next week. I am speeding very quickly towards it and hopefully will find sometime in their to organize my room and life. Because that is all going out the window because I am trying to keep up on the work and stay awake. BUT I WILL MAKE IT!

One of the things I decided to do to make my life more enjoyable was I made the building that I have my classes in and work until one in, a facebook profile page and put us in a relationship status but truthfully we should be engaged by now we spend so much time together. :)

Decisions

I have decided since I am getting behind on my journal writing and my letter writing to Ethan, I am going to start writing blog entries here on the computer and then copy pasting them into emails to Ethan. Then I can make a book with all my blog entries to make a journal.

This semester we have moved from the basic skills of Interior Design to full throttle this what you do in this major projects and assignments. To me it is amazing what I am able to produce and come up with. Each project I start with oh wow I will never be able to complete this. Mostly because the steps that we have to take to achieve the project are the first time that we are doing them and we have gone over them briefly in class. A lot of self teaching of how to create specifications, finishes and schedule sheets for building.

In my International Relations class, we have gone over all of the different theories of why war happens and the difference theorist views people can have. It is very interesting and I am learning a lot about past politics and how we can analysis what is happening today from the past.

My apartment is pretty good. I never see them because I am at the department until one in the morning or going out with friends to hang out and enjoy doing crazy things. I am the youngest out of my apartment because the next girl is trying 21 this next Wednesday. All the girls are Juniors and Seniors, two of which are graduating this semester and one that is going to do her student teaching.

My FHE brothers all served in Ethan's mission area and know the mission president and everything because they have only been back for a month. I think Ethan will really enjoy it because of the stories they have told me and things that they have done.

I have talked to my advisor in the Interior Design Department and I have mapped out my plan if I decide to go on a mission. I will leave as soon as my second semester of Junior year is over, then I will come back and do a short internship. After my internship, I will do my last two semesters, graduate and start work in the field as a graduated Interior Designer, study for my NCIDQ and work on my masters and law degree.

I also this week finished my petition paper to be able to add a minor in Political Science to my transcript to make it easier to get into another school to finish my Political Science degree and start on my Law Degree.

This past week boys and dating have become nonexistent because of my homework, classes and work. I literally have three jobs: 1. School from 7 until 5 2. Work: 11-3 3. Homework: 8-1am

Yeah it is packed.

Well that is all that is new to me right now hopefully I will be able to sleep and relax sometime soon :)

Half Way Point

Summer is great when it first starts up but then half way through you just wish to be back at school, for mostit because they want the independent life back for me, it is the projects and the assignments from my classes. i miss having the continuous list of things to do and making to do lists. i misss the stress and high paced living that being in the Interior Design program brings. I think this week i am going to strive to make myself a todo list this week.

What a Great Work Day is

I am sitting in the silence of my office. There have been no calls and I am listening to conversations from influnitial people in the church. Studying my interior design textbooks and reading old notes. Relaxing and worrying about nothing it is very peaceful and nice and way better then this morning was. I wish everyday was as great ad this one, that would be nice =) I not sure what my plans are for tonight but I am the point that I kind of don't care that is saying something lol. Well peace out!

First Day on the New Job

So I sitting here at my desk on my first day on the job. It is not too diffcult and I will definitly have time to study my design books this summer. I am going to have to bring some decorations this space because it is kind of guyish lol I think some flowers or other officey type stuff. It should be dun once I get in the groove of things. Today I help put a bolt in a truck and schedule three and inscheduled one. Life is good :)

Life in General

So this semester has taught me new things and I am glad for it. I am thankful for loving roommates and nice fhe brothers who no matter what happens still want to continue with our friendship. :) I am thankful for a fahbuless interior design program where i have learned so much and grown comfortable being with people just like me. I am thankful for my family who always are accommodating when I go to Utah. I am thankful for my life!

New Semester New Things

Roommates- LOVE them!!! they are the greatest five girls i have ever lived with we have fun every night and day. Samantha is from my old stake back home, Megan lived in Rockwell, Danielle lives in Scotsdale, and Brynn lives in near San Diego.

Interior Design- everything is going smoothly love all my teachers and projects, it is just the drawing that is getting to me :( but i am working at it

Student Ambassadors- I am the tour coordinator for this semester and it was a rough start but is going smoothly now i am enjoying it.

FHE- LOVE MY BROS!! they are the greatest and we have so much fun :)

Guys- some possibilities here but we will have to see

Church- I am the visiting teaching coordinator so that should be easy and unset apart emergency pianist for the ward.

So that is my life right now in a nutshell :)

Weekly Update

Monday- Had FHE at a park and cooked marshmellows and played soccer and football. I should all the guys my great skills in throwing a football.

Tuesday- Went to Warm River (completely false in name it is really cold) I swam a mile and 1/2 while pushing a tube it was kind of fun and super relaxing

Wednesday- Went to Uptown Bagel with my teacher and two kids in my class and found a great antique shop and the i went to a thai place and had a Thai Green Snow Flake a very interesting drink. Then we went together with a huge group to the Civil Defense Caves and played hide and glow seek. Both ways we went off roading in a car like that the malibu and that was stick dont wrry it wasnt too bad i prayed the entire time and held my seat beat lol but it was so much FUN!

Thursday- Went swimming in the Guy's Pool and then tanning. We took out the screen in the front window and then hung the internet cord, power cord and computer out of the window and set the computer on the ground and tanned. I went with a cute guy and some girls from one of my classes and watch a kids soccer game that a guy in one of my classes has kids on. Then i went to horkley's and got a 32 oz drink for less then a dollar

Friday- Came over to the guys and hang out with them and tried playing halo 3 live i killed.....a total of ...three people!!! after 4 tries lol and then i went to craigos which is like cicis and then i went to the temple and then applebees I got a whole bunch of new music i think you will like them when i get home. :)

SUMMER!!!

Summer is here! I am having a seven week break where all i do is go to two or three classes for four days a week and then i have all day to do whatever i want! I get my whole apartment to myself and i have some awesome friends staying to and we are going to try and do something everyday together!!! yaya for summer!

Midterm Update

Apartment- I have worked things out with my roommates but i still stick to myself most of the time. I have been cooking a lot more then last semester. Which has been kind of fun.

School- I already signed up for the next two semesters. I am pretty excited to end this semester and start the summer.

Boys- all the boys in my ward are pretty cute and really really nice.

Church- I have been the piano tons in this ward and i going to play listen to your heart in the talent show on thursday.

That is really mostly all i follow the same routine every week and nothing really chance but i hope something does soon....

Begining of Second Semester

1st Week happenings- I started new class. They are World Foundations, Intorduction to Business, Communications, Understanding DNA, and BOM Alma 30- Moroni. I love all my classes and each one brings a different flair in my life. On Thursday I told my boss that I that i was going to be gone so i got the day off and i learned how to drive a cart for tours because i am a student admassbor so when new people come i get to take the one tours. I think the family should take tours coming and visting me. :) I am also on the SRC which address concerns of the student body and solves the problems. Then on friday i went to Provo and saw my parents. I got my mom a mother's day gift and watch kaity graduate.

Saturday- I went to Civil defense caves back up here in idaho and played hide and glow seek in a pitch black cave that even flashlight dont show up more then three feet in front of you no matter how storng they are. Then i went to the sand dunes and played there for awhile.

This week- Has been pretty boring except for this weekend. I went on a retreat for SA and learned more about the program and how to become a better tour guide and communicater about the school.

I better go now Alison and heather (two of my roommates) want to play Ticket to Ride.

This Relaxin Week

Friday- I woke up at 6 and took a shower and pack all the things that i need for the day. Then i left for work at 7:13 and worked until 11:45. I then went to Tuscany and moved my stuff from the third floor to the first floor of another building. Then i went back to work to cater until 10:00 and then i went home finished packing and storing all my things and white glove cleaning my parts of the apartment. Then at 3:30 i went to the bus stop and went to SLC Airport where i missed my stop because i didnt know i was to get off so the bus driver went back and dropped me off then i wait for an hour and 45 minutes until the next shuttle came and then i gt on and went to Provo and then i went to Heather's and I slept until Derek came and picked me up to go to Passover. After Passover i went to Derek's friend's house and watch some tv then i went back to heather's and went to bed.

Saturday- Went to Heather's ward choir practice and then came home and then heather's apartment had a surprise party for Donald one of her friends. Heather and me took a nap and then we went to Divine Comedy which was really funnny. Then Heather's friend pick us up and we went to subzero and watch a movie.

Sunday- I went to church with heather and i sang in the choir's easter program. Then went to the rest of the church mtgs then i took a nap until dinner at grandma with all the college students then i went to bed after reading a book.

Monday- Woke up and went on a walk with grandma to Albertson's and came back had lunch and then i went shopping with derek and heather and got alot of things. Then i got home and got caught up on my tv shows.

Tuesday-Just watched fancast.com and hung out with heather in the morning. In the afternoon i went with grandma and grandpa to see a house. It was nice but need alot of fix up.

Wednesday- Went to a TEA party and then to Derek's birthday dinner with his friends and Craig and Kaityln. Then I went to Aunt Mindy's to sleepover with Auna, Shalayne, and Damon.

Saturday Date and my many other things

Saturday Date:
So I was sitting in my living room which was finally able to be moved around since we didn't have to keep it clean for white glove (i will get to that later) anymore when a knock came to my door. Brittany the girl i was going to rooming with if I didn't move into Monique's room. She came over and asked me to take a drop date. This guy named Thomas in our ward asked a girl and she canceled on him so i was asked to take her place. So i sad yes because it wasn't like i was doing anything tonight. So I went over to Brittany's house at 7 and the guys came over and Cassie (a girl in my FHE group) Brittany, me and Cody, Thomas, and Paul went to Applebee's for dinner. I had a half serving of Santa Fe Salad which was good because it was big even with the half size. After that we literraly piled into Cody's car and went over to the guys house and played uno until about 11 and then we just talked and stuff for 40 minutes. I have never had so much fun in my life. I would say this would be a great first real date but it wasnt since Thomas didnt ask me himself, but it almost made the guidelines.

I was sitting in my chair in the living room after getting done with talking to dad when Lishelle knocked on my door and asked me to take pictures of her, Brie, Kayla and Cassie (the same girl above) roommate pictures so i went with them and took some really cute pictures.

Drew:
There is an rm that served in Katie's ward during his mission. So he came over here and he likes katie but katie has a boyfriend so he tried to get him to like me and we thought it worked but i recently discovered that he doesnt. So we wanted to go to walmart to get some marshmallows for Lishelle (the girl above) so that she could make us choclate cookies with marshmallows and frosting on top (they are deilicous) so we called Drew and he came and pick us up. We went to walmart and then taco bell for katie to get dinner. Whiel we were there drew's brother and his wife drove past and saw us there so they called Drew and we ended up going over to Drew's brother's house to met his family. His sister and her husband and kids, his other brother and this wife and kid and his mom. It was pretty interesting. I ended up entertaining kids and not be noticed really by any adults. It was like babysitting with the parents home even though i stayed in the living room the whole time. I hope i least made a good impression on that level. We stayed for like 5 hours and then came and went over to another Dorm.

Dorm:
The dorm was Lishelle, Brie, Kayla, and Cassie's. They were cleaning so Katie and I went over to talk to them while they work. It was fun and we paint our nails. Then we came home at 6 and slept until 9.

White Glove:
We had PRE white glove. I passed but it was the hardest cleaning i have ever done.

School:
I have finished all my homework and only have one project i havent gotten yet and tests to take.

Church: This sunday or should say today since it is like 12:35 here....is the last day of regular sunday that there is.

Catching Up

This week has been pretty uneventful...just a lot of school mixed with a few fun activities. I have decided to stay here until next year which means that i will have until next year to be going home. Which is fine with me because i will be able to get all my foundations done and my first year of interior design. Man time is going by so quick. I still dont feel like i am in college. I feel like i am at a efy extended stay or that i just decided to play college for awhile. I think it is because most of the kids here look young and we all no where we are going. When i go to UNT for efy all the people there look 21 or older. i think that is because all the kids my age are partying until they get serious at 25 or older when here as soon as we graduate we have a plan. I think that is also why we get married so soon because we have formatted plans.

GOT ACCPECTED!

I got accepted to the Interior Design program here at BYUI. I am soo excited and i can't wait until i can start in the fall. It feels like home and i love it so much!

18th Birthday

Today was my birthday of course and it went by so fast! I got a sign on my door when i woke up and went to work which was great! At work I fell up the stairs while holding five glass plates and completely cut my hand, which still hurts. After that bloody incident I went on with the rest of my work day and then I got home did somethings for my dad and then went to the auxiliary building to get one of my birthday packages and then went to school. After school i came home and was greeted by a cake that Katie Goddard (my roommate) made for me. Then i just sat around the apartment because i finished all my homework for tomorrow already and then i went to FHE and had a mini bday party. I then came home and skyped my family and opened their presents and then i am got ready for bed and now i am here :)

Camping Trip

I went camping for with two girls from school this weekend. It was super cold and i think i have a head cold now. Some highlights would be:
1. Seeing some died ripped apart cows it was really gross and random
2. Getting lost up in the mountains and driving all over some ones farm
3. Not being able to start a fire
4. Seeing a baby moose and having to move camp before the mom came
5. Freezing to death and having ice form on the outside of the tent, inside and on the sleeping bags
6. Waking up to having an animal sniffing our tent
7. Getting sold used lighter fluid

For some odd reason i want to go camping again but next time we are going to bring some guys to build a fire and have the priesthood when we are scared or just plain wanting it.

Tomorrow i have to play piano for a musical number and on Monday it is going to be my birthday i can't wait.
