Life in General

So this semester has taught me new things and I am glad for it. I am thankful for loving roommates and nice fhe brothers who no matter what happens still want to continue with our friendship. :) I am thankful for a fahbuless interior design program where i have learned so much and grown comfortable being with people just like me. I am thankful for my family who always are accommodating when I go to Utah. I am thankful for my life!

New Semester New Things

Roommates- LOVE them!!! they are the greatest five girls i have ever lived with we have fun every night and day. Samantha is from my old stake back home, Megan lived in Rockwell, Danielle lives in Scotsdale, and Brynn lives in near San Diego.

Interior Design- everything is going smoothly love all my teachers and projects, it is just the drawing that is getting to me :( but i am working at it

Student Ambassadors- I am the tour coordinator for this semester and it was a rough start but is going smoothly now i am enjoying it.

FHE- LOVE MY BROS!! they are the greatest and we have so much fun :)

Guys- some possibilities here but we will have to see

Church- I am the visiting teaching coordinator so that should be easy and unset apart emergency pianist for the ward.

So that is my life right now in a nutshell :)

Weekly Update

Monday- Had FHE at a park and cooked marshmellows and played soccer and football. I should all the guys my great skills in throwing a football.

Tuesday- Went to Warm River (completely false in name it is really cold) I swam a mile and 1/2 while pushing a tube it was kind of fun and super relaxing

Wednesday- Went to Uptown Bagel with my teacher and two kids in my class and found a great antique shop and the i went to a thai place and had a Thai Green Snow Flake a very interesting drink. Then we went together with a huge group to the Civil Defense Caves and played hide and glow seek. Both ways we went off roading in a car like that the malibu and that was stick dont wrry it wasnt too bad i prayed the entire time and held my seat beat lol but it was so much FUN!

Thursday- Went swimming in the Guy's Pool and then tanning. We took out the screen in the front window and then hung the internet cord, power cord and computer out of the window and set the computer on the ground and tanned. I went with a cute guy and some girls from one of my classes and watch a kids soccer game that a guy in one of my classes has kids on. Then i went to horkley's and got a 32 oz drink for less then a dollar

Friday- Came over to the guys and hang out with them and tried playing halo 3 live i killed.....a total of ...three people!!! after 4 tries lol and then i went to craigos which is like cicis and then i went to the temple and then applebees I got a whole bunch of new music i think you will like them when i get home. :)

SUMMER!!!

Summer is here! I am having a seven week break where all i do is go to two or three classes for four days a week and then i have all day to do whatever i want! I get my whole apartment to myself and i have some awesome friends staying to and we are going to try and do something everyday together!!! yaya for summer!

Midterm Update

Apartment- I have worked things out with my roommates but i still stick to myself most of the time. I have been cooking a lot more then last semester. Which has been kind of fun.

School- I already signed up for the next two semesters. I am pretty excited to end this semester and start the summer.

Boys- all the boys in my ward are pretty cute and really really nice.

Church- I have been the piano tons in this ward and i going to play listen to your heart in the talent show on thursday.

That is really mostly all i follow the same routine every week and nothing really chance but i hope something does soon....

Elaine

Begining of Second Semester

1st Week happenings- I started new class. They are World Foundations, Intorduction to Business, Communications, Understanding DNA, and BOM Alma 30- Moroni. I love all my classes and each one brings a different flair in my life. On Thursday I told my boss that I that i was going to be gone so i got the day off and i learned how to drive a cart for tours because i am a student admassbor so when new people come i get to take the one tours. I think the family should take tours coming and visting me. :) I am also on the SRC which address concerns of the student body and solves the problems. Then on friday i went to Provo and saw my parents. I got my mom a mother's day gift and watch kaity graduate.

Saturday- I went to Civil defense caves back up here in idaho and played hide and glow seek in a pitch black cave that even flashlight dont show up more then three feet in front of you no matter how storng they are. Then i went to the sand dunes and played there for awhile.

This week- Has been pretty boring except for this weekend. I went on a retreat for SA and learned more about the program and how to become a better tour guide and communicater about the school.

I better go now Alison and heather (two of my roommates) want to play Ticket to Ride.

This Relaxin Week

Friday- I woke up at 6 and took a shower and pack all the things that i need for the day. Then i left for work at 7:13 and worked until 11:45. I then went to Tuscany and moved my stuff from the third floor to the first floor of another building. Then i went back to work to cater until 10:00 and then i went home finished packing and storing all my things and white glove cleaning my parts of the apartment. Then at 3:30 i went to the bus stop and went to SLC Airport where i missed my stop because i didnt know i was to get off so the bus driver went back and dropped me off then i wait for an hour and 45 minutes until the next shuttle came and then i gt on and went to Provo and then i went to Heather's and I slept until Derek came and picked me up to go to Passover. After Passover i went to Derek's friend's house and watch some tv then i went back to heather's and went to bed.

Saturday- Went to Heather's ward choir practice and then came home and then heather's apartment had a surprise party for Donald one of her friends. Heather and me took a nap and then we went to Divine Comedy which was really funnny. Then Heather's friend pick us up and we went to subzero and watch a movie.

Sunday- I went to church with heather and i sang in the choir's easter program. Then went to the rest of the church mtgs then i took a nap until dinner at grandma with all the college students then i went to bed after reading a book.

Monday- Woke up and went on a walk with grandma to Albertson's and came back had lunch and then i went shopping with derek and heather and got alot of things. Then i got home and got caught up on my tv shows.

Tuesday-Just watched fancast.com and hung out with heather in the morning. In the afternoon i went with grandma and grandpa to see a house. It was nice but need alot of fix up.

Wednesday- Went to a TEA party and then to Derek's birthday dinner with his friends and Craig and Kaityln. Then I went to Aunt Mindy's to sleepover with Auna, Shalayne, and Damon.

Saturday Date and my many other things

Saturday Date:
So I was sitting in my living room which was finally able to be moved around since we didn't have to keep it clean for white glove (i will get to that later) anymore when a knock came to my door. Brittany the girl i was going to rooming with if I didn't move into Monique's room. She came over and asked me to take a drop date. This guy named Thomas in our ward asked a girl and she canceled on him so i was asked to take her place. So i sad yes because it wasn't like i was doing anything tonight. So I went over to Brittany's house at 7 and the guys came over and Cassie (a girl in my FHE group) Brittany, me and Cody, Thomas, and Paul went to Applebee's for dinner. I had a half serving of Santa Fe Salad which was good because it was big even with the half size. After that we literraly piled into Cody's car and went over to the guys house and played uno until about 11 and then we just talked and stuff for 40 minutes. I have never had so much fun in my life. I would say this would be a great first real date but it wasnt since Thomas didnt ask me himself, but it almost made the guidelines.

I was sitting in my chair in the living room after getting done with talking to dad when Lishelle knocked on my door and asked me to take pictures of her, Brie, Kayla and Cassie (the same girl above) roommate pictures so i went with them and took some really cute pictures.

Drew:
There is an rm that served in Katie's ward during his mission. So he came over here and he likes katie but katie has a boyfriend so he tried to get him to like me and we thought it worked but i recently discovered that he doesnt. So we wanted to go to walmart to get some marshmallows for Lishelle (the girl above) so that she could make us choclate cookies with marshmallows and frosting on top (they are deilicous) so we called Drew and he came and pick us up. We went to walmart and then taco bell for katie to get dinner. Whiel we were there drew's brother and his wife drove past and saw us there so they called Drew and we ended up going over to Drew's brother's house to met his family. His sister and her husband and kids, his other brother and this wife and kid and his mom. It was pretty interesting. I ended up entertaining kids and not be noticed really by any adults. It was like babysitting with the parents home even though i stayed in the living room the whole time. I hope i least made a good impression on that level. We stayed for like 5 hours and then came and went over to another Dorm.

Dorm:
The dorm was Lishelle, Brie, Kayla, and Cassie's. They were cleaning so Katie and I went over to talk to them while they work. It was fun and we paint our nails. Then we came home at 6 and slept until 9.

White Glove:
We had PRE white glove. I passed but it was the hardest cleaning i have ever done.

School:
I have finished all my homework and only have one project i havent gotten yet and tests to take.

Church: This sunday or should say today since it is like 12:35 here....is the last day of regular sunday that there is.

Catching Up

This week has been pretty uneventful...just a lot of school mixed with a few fun activities. I have decided to stay here until next year which means that i will have until next year to be going home. Which is fine with me because i will be able to get all my foundations done and my first year of interior design. Man time is going by so quick. I still dont feel like i am in college. I feel like i am at a efy extended stay or that i just decided to play college for awhile. I think it is because most of the kids here look young and we all no where we are going. When i go to UNT for efy all the people there look 21 or older. i think that is because all the kids my age are partying until they get serious at 25 or older when here as soon as we graduate we have a plan. I think that is also why we get married so soon because we have formatted plans.

GOT ACCPECTED!

I got accepted to the Interior Design program here at BYUI. I am soo excited and i can't wait until i can start in the fall. It feels like home and i love it so much!

18th Birthday

Today was my birthday of course and it went by so fast! I got a sign on my door when i woke up and went to work which was great! At work I fell up the stairs while holding five glass plates and completely cut my hand, which still hurts. After that bloody incident I went on with the rest of my work day and then I got home did somethings for my dad and then went to the auxiliary building to get one of my birthday packages and then went to school. After school i came home and was greeted by a cake that Katie Goddard (my roommate) made for me. Then i just sat around the apartment because i finished all my homework for tomorrow already and then i went to FHE and had a mini bday party. I then came home and skyped my family and opened their presents and then i am got ready for bed and now i am here :)

Camping Trip

I went camping for with two girls from school this weekend. It was super cold and i think i have a head cold now. Some highlights would be:
1. Seeing some died ripped apart cows it was really gross and random
2. Getting lost up in the mountains and driving all over some ones farm
3. Not being able to start a fire
4. Seeing a baby moose and having to move camp before the mom came
5. Freezing to death and having ice form on the outside of the tent, inside and on the sleeping bags
6. Waking up to having an animal sniffing our tent
7. Getting sold used lighter fluid

For some odd reason i want to go camping again but next time we are going to bring some guys to build a fire and have the priesthood when we are scared or just plain wanting it.

Tomorrow i have to play piano for a musical number and on Monday it is going to be my birthday i can't wait.

Today

Roommates: Things are a little better still have not talked to Lindsay. I clean and organized my room so that is good.

Tuscany: I applied and I will be rooming with a girl from two of my classes and i have already meet on of the other roommates because she orders lunch at the cafe. So i cant wait for next semster!

Homework: I am all done with it for the rest of the week! It is so relieving!

This weekend: I am going Snow Camping which means instead of a tent you make a igloo and sleep in it. I am going with a girl in one of classes and her two roommates. Afterwards we are going to hot springs to swim which i wil greatly like because i have missed the water completely.

Well i better go to bed now i have a packed day tomorrow!

Oh and i got Grandma's gift it is sitting right next to me waiting to be unwrapped on my birthday!

class

i got my schedule worked out for school next semester. I am going to have 12 credits and then 12 in the summer after that i will only have religion classes to full in the rest of the credits during interior design.

um......air

I been wanting a lot of natural air and sunlight a lot lately. I think it is because i want to be free of my dorm and be able to have space. I also need to clean up and organize, usually this lets me be able to be happier but it hasnt been doing its job i think because it is so blank here. there is no personality or homeliness. there is just white walls and nothing that says home. I think when i get my own room at tuscany i am going to make it my home so when i come home i feel at peace and not stressed. School has been going well no compliants there...I am keeping my job at the cafe because it hass good benefits. i am also going to starting ding more service. On monday i am going to sit in during a interior design class which should be interesting and fun. I am also reading from a beginngers interior design book so that i will be able to compete. I better go now and clean and make dinner so ttyl!

Just filling in a request

My dad ask me to update the blog so here it goes...

School- I currently have only two more midterms: one is an in class test, which is really really rare here and the other is a essay for my writing and reasoning class. I currently have all As and high Bs. I also have gotten most of my homework done for the rest of semster which i really like about college cause you could never do that in high school.

Social: I have basically broken up my relationship with Katie and i am not really sure why....but it has come with a blessing because i already have another girl who is becoming a great friend and i have gotten to know my other roommates more. I am planning on taking mom's request and start to doing some service projects. this was aslo reiterated during the stake enrichment tonight because the topic was service and we were asked to give service as much as we can here.

Church: I like my new FHE group and my new rs much more organize and upbeat. The FHE group is even planning a mini birthday party for me which should be a ball of fun. Tomorrow night we are going to one of our "Brother"'s soccer game and then going out for ice cream or pizza afterwards.

Me: I am doing pretty well after the whole of Katie i was a little down but i think i am going to do better at least i am seeing the sun more.

Good Night

Boring to FUN sunday

I went to church and then came back home and had some din din. Then just lounged around until i went over to the piano room and practiced music. When I got home Draci decided it would be a great idea to make her girly so she can impress a guy she likes. Which is good.... so we did her hair and make up and she looks lots better. Now i am going to ward prayer and then staying up until midnight to watch gossip girl....because it wont be sunday anymore :)

one more thing....

I was playing Egyptian Rat Slap very janis like and i was cut by some guy's finger nail and i was like ouch that hurt and then left it alone, but then it started to gush blood so i went and got a band aide and it bled through it but dont worry it is ok now :)

Today

Today was pretty much uneventful but i guess thats what you get for an eventful week. I gt my hair cut at a paul mitchell hair school. I actually like it. My girl was really good. I went to a game night at the boys dorms here in campus and played a giant game of twister. Also this weekend i got a mohawk and wild makeup and took pictures all over byui. it was tons of fun. I have already decide on what to do with my roommates next year for our dorms it is going to pretty cool i must say! I better og now i need to get ready for bed. yawn...

Bringing Everyone UP

Church:
I am the pianist for RS 2 and on my very first day for this calling I had to play for sacrament meeting and for RS what fun.....

School:
I am doing pretty well in keeping up and getting all my work done.

Friends:
I have a multitude of them and it has been lots of fun to hang out with them. I am hardly ever at home and already picked out my roommates for next semester and we are looking for a fourth girl to move in.

Life:
Not doing much I have gone to different things like Barbershop and I got tickets to see the BYUI devotional with Elder Christofferson. It should be fun!

Friday Night Fun

I went sledding today on sledding hill. It is definitely more fun then ice blocking. I did hurt my ankle though, i didn't get my feet up in time on a fast one :) I then went and hung out at my Iteam leaders apartment and then went to the grocery store. After I got home i did some math homework so i feel pretty productive....

Happiness

Things to be happy about:
1. I passed my math placement exam.
2. I have a really really easy job.
3. I am basically done with three weeks worth of homework.
4. I am going to bed at 8:00 on a school night, a first in like 10 years.

I got a JOB!

I am now going to be working at the Cafe Kimball from 7:30 to 11:30! Come by and see me and i will make you a sandwich!

First Sunday

Today was not as exciting as yesterday but here we go...
I woke up and got my bread that i left over at my old dorm and then came back here and put my math class schedule of lessons and test into my calendar. then i got ready for church which is at 12. I even curled my hair. At church I conducted the music during Sacrament meeting and bore my testimony during relief society about how heavenly helps you be in the right place and the right time. I then came home and made an awesome dinner of lasagna, BLT ceaser salad and Texas rolls. Now i am going to Ward Prayer the most likely heading off to bed. yeah because i am so tired and i have to wake up early tomorrow to apply for a job in person.

First Day of College

I was so exhaused last night that i just start to bed as soon as most of my stuff was unpacked. Which was not until around 1 in the morning. The day start with me waking up at 5:45 and get ready, having breakfast, and leaving to sign in to the dorms at 6:45. Dad and me got here early so we were able to drive around a little bit and get in line to be one of the first people to sign in. I went through the process of getting my keys and I Card and went to my apartment. To find out the lady that signed me in never gave back the keys after she showed me which key was which. So Dad and me had to go back to the regristration and get a new one. After that we went to my dorm and brought all my stuff up. I started to unpack and we decide we should go get my textbooks. So we went down to the House Office to tell them about roommates bed who had it on the floor and the desk was next to it leaving no room for me to really move around to unpack. When we were in there my roomamte Sara came into get her key. Let's just my first impression of her was "wow she is mean." Dad and and me then went shopping for textbooks, groceries, and some kitchen/cleaning stuff. When we got back i unpacked some more and then I went to the opening of Get Connected while dad set up my internet, printer, and powerstrip. When I got back I found a note from Sara because stating that she wanted me to move to the other room because she and her friend wanted to room together. I was happy to do that for multiple of reasons, but there was one catch....the other room had two previous students that left for winter break. One of them wasn't coming back but all her stuff were in her room. So I couldn't move in until all the stuff was moved out. So I was just started to finish most of unpacking when Charity the House Resident came up and gave me some rooms that i could move into right away. So I decide to move to the one I am in right now. My new roommate is SWEET! I like her a lot already. She is from Texas and a starting freshmen like me and enjoy most of the stuff I like. I think we will get along great! After I meet her dad and me went to the parent luau which was really really cool! I especially like the black outfits for the girls and the fire dancer. When we were done with that we came back to my dorm, dad finished the printer set up and I finished moving things over. When I started to put things away I found that we had nothing to cook, clean, or even do anything with so I made a list and went shopping to get the things we need to live. I am going to see if me other roommates well restock the things we bought since i bought alot of stuff this first time. I then stayed up late unpacking and getting to know Monique. Today I am going to church at 12 and then making dinner for dad, monique and me. It will lasagana, texas rolls, and blt Ceasaer salad. Yum! On Monday i have some get connected stuff and math homework which is an essay, reading, card filling out, and some problems. FUN.... While that is all for now if you read all of this great!
